Psychotherapist Terri Cole teaches a simple but powerful truth:
without healthy boundaries, you can't live an authentic and
fulfilled life. After all, if you're always smiling and saying
"yes" to everything, how is anyone else supposed to know you're
burnt out, overloaded, and not up to taking on yet another task?
This is especially true for today's women, who are often caught
between cultural conditioning toward being "nice" and the need to
protect their own well-being. With that in mind, Cole presents
Boundary Boss, a comprehensive guide for any woman who wants to
master creating and maintaining healthy boundaries. In Boundary
Boss, Cole's proven methodology is based on her Five Pillars of
Transformation for examining and adjusting your personal and
professional limits. Each of these overarching themes branches into
more specific lessons about mindful communication, body language
techniques, and how to deal with the guilt, fear, or backlash that
arises when finally setting a boundary. Cole offers an actionable
tool kit of scripts, strategies, and practices that can be used in
the moment, whenever you need them. "For every single client who
has walked through my office doors, no matter what their presenting
problem, boundaries and effective communication (or lack thereof)
are at the root of their pain," writes Cole. With Boundary Boss,
you'll discover tools for transcending that pain and creating a
healthier, happier life.

According to new age guru Terry Cole-Whittaker, we all are perfect
as we are and have everything we need to manifest our wildest
dreams. We just need to focus on what we want and not on what
others are saying about us, what others think we should want, or
what others have. In this follow-up to her ground-breaking works on
self-empowerment, Terry takes readers along a path toward their
goals, showing them how they can incorporate a few simple practices
into their lives and by so doing, transform their lives. As Terry
demonstrated in the late 1980s with her master work, "What You
Think of Me Is None of My Business", we're often wrapped up in
other people's expectations. We're given scripts to failure by
schools and parents who constantly point out what's wrong with us
and never teach us how to fulfill our true potential. Terry shows
readers how to claim their true natures, how to stop being robots
and begin living in their deepest, truest natures. She demonstrates
how we can discover who we truly are and live in the bliss intended
for us by our creator. This inspiring book teaches readers how to
trust themselves. She helps them discover how to live from a sense
of abundance and prosperity, tossing aside our myths of scarcity
and releasing fear and shame. As Terry writes in the Introduction,
this book could be titled 'true confessions of a pleasure seeker'
because it shows how we can live in a state of bliss and how we can
use our own innate mystical powers to manifest abundance and
prosperity.
Prologue "They" say that money is the root of all evil. I say that
FEAR is. It is certainly at the root of all the dis-ease,
dis-comfort, and dys-function on the planet. It is why the rich are
so driven to get richer, and the powerful are driven to control
ALL. They are driven because they are afraid they will not have
enough to truly feel secure. In a way, they're right. They will
NEVER TRULY FEEL SECURE, because all the money and power in the
world cannot provide the security they need. It can merely give
them the ILLUSION of that. You may have heard stories of wealthy
men jumping off buildings when the stock market crashed in 1929.
That's a prime example of what I'm talking about. The super rich
and powerful require their wealth and power to feel secure, or more
accurately, to keep the illusion of being secure. TRUE SECURITY can
only come FROM WITHIN OURSELVES when we can FULLY ACCEPT OURSELVES
FOR ALL THAT WE ARE AND ALL THAT WE ARE NOT. Then we are not only
SECURE, but we are FREE to be our perfectly imperfect selves. It is
the full releasing of judgment of self, resulting in full
acceptance of self, that makes us feel truly secure. That's also
necessary to FEEL WORTHY enough of having all that we desire. To
take it one step further, as we LET GO of JUDGMENT of self, we move
into a space of LOVE After all, JUDGMENT is based on FEAR, and FEAR
is the OPPOSITE of LOVE. The more we dissolve judgment, the more
that love is given the space to grow and glow within us. The more
we are able to express this love to others, the more we are able to
receive it. As the fear and judgment dissipate, the love grows
exponentially, filling us up, permeating our beingness and lives,
until we are radiating out so much love we BECOME
LOVE...UNCONDITIONAL LOVE...UNIVERSAL LOVE...the permanent state of
which is Oneness...Samadhi...Enlightenment...Ascension. Fear also
keeps us from effortlessly flowing or R.O.L.L.ing through life.
When we predict the results of a situation from past experience,
projecting it into the future out of fear that we will re-create
it, that is usually what happens. This is because as soon as we
think it can happen we are already drawing it to us, which is
sometimes referred to as the "self-fulfilling prophecy," or as some
say, "What you fear will appear." By simply R.O.L.L.ing, we can
integrate the lessons we've learned from the past, little by
little, quite easily, without having to invoke or re-live them.
This is because, as we LET GO of EXPECTATION (attachment to
result), we can allow the Divine to flow through us naturally and
effortlessly in the PRESENT. When we are being truly present, we
can listen to our Higher Selves, Guides, and Angels, who are always
available to us, protecting and guiding us. Only when we are
"being" truly PRESENT can we "listen" to them and utilize their
exquisitely perfect guidance to take advantage of the endless
opportunities presented to us, in each and every moment. WITHOUT
the JUDGMENT and EXPECTATION, we can truly MANIFEST WHAT WE DESIRE
quite EFFORTLESSLY & MAGICALLY, because we FEEL WORTHY ENOUGH
to RECEIVE what the DIVINE FLOW OF LIFE has to offer. While this
may not happen overnight, you will undoubtedly recognize progress
made at various points along the way. It is a journey well worth
traveling, no matter how long it takes.
The author of the number-one "New York Times" bestseller "How to
Have More in a Have-Not World" now gives us her most passionate-and
personal-book yet. In her trademark witty, straight-talking style,
Terry Cole-Whittaker reveals a seven-step program that teaches
readers to become the successful, happy people God has designed
them to be.
